Music

My musical interests are also quite diverse. My main interest is in punk music, especially groups from the Bay Area, mainly Berkeley and San Francisco. I also like garage music from Seattle and Bellingham Washington. I also like old sixties garage music like the Sonics, Kingsmen, Ventures, MC5 and the Stooges. And to some extent, I like some modn pop like the Kinks and the Beatles. And, I like classical and jazz, like Vivaldi, Verdi, and Beethoven, and Lois Armstrong and John Coltrane. We can't forget the classics. But punk my is principal interest. I play bass in a band, and some of the bands that have influenced me are the Dead Kennedys, the Descendents, Bad Religion, Operation Ivy, and the Vandals. They all were political bands who had a sense of humor, except for the Descendents. They were also good musicians with good songwriting. Like I said before, I really like Bay Area punk music, with my favorite bands being: the Mr. T Experience, Crimpshrine, Tilt, A.F.I., J Church, the Invalids, Screw 32, the Swingin Utters, and NoFX. Some non-Bay Area bands I really like are: the Muffs, the Vandals, Gas Huffer, the Mono Men, Man or ASTROMAN?, the Haskells, Mudhoney, Sreeching Weasel, the Ramones, the Voodoo Glow Skulls and Rocket From The Crypt. I probably forgot a lot but I can't name them all. My friend runs a small record label named SLVP and I work for a fanzine named tededfred. i go to about four concerts a month, so a music is a big part of my life.
