The little boy in the middle of this picture is named Don . He is my father. In front of him is his brother Jimmy and behind him is his older brother Dicky. The oldest, Art is not pictured. This photograph was taken in San Fransisco in the 1940s.

My father joined the Air Force to travel when he was 18. He journeyed to Alaska, France, Wyoming and Texas. At 24 he went to college on the G.I. Bill. While there he became president of San Fransico City Collge's Black Student Union.
